Shopify Payment Service Terms

Service Introduction

Ecompay provides the Shopify Payment gateway service, which includes an online store on the Shopify platform integrated with the Shopify Payment gateway. You will use this store to conduct business and receive payments through Shopify Payment.

If you already own a Shopify store and only want to use the Shopify Payment gateway service, Ecompay will link the payment gateway to your store. Additionally, Ecompay will require you to transfer store ownership during the integration period. Once the cooperation between both parties ends, Ecompay will return the store ownership to you.

General Terms

By using Ecompay’s services, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this policy. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time and will notify you of any changes.

Ecompay strives to ensure that the service information provided is accurate and complete. However, we are not responsible for any outdated or inaccurate information on this page. The legally binding information will be based on the contracts, commitments, or memorandums of understanding that you sign with Ecompay.

Service Usage Conditions

To use the Shopify Payment gateway service, Ecompay encourages you to be an experienced Shopify seller with proven sales data. Additionally, your products will be carefully reviewed before Ecompay decides to proceed with the cooperation. You must submit product samples for approval (see details in the Product Policy). If your products violate Ecompay’s policies, we reserve the right to refuse collaboration and will not be responsible for any product information submitted for review.

You are also required to provide accurate information, including product descriptions, images, pricing, and shipping policies.

Service Fees

A service fee of 4% will be charged on the total revenue withdrawn from Shopify Payments after deducting taxes and other applicable fees. This fee is directly deducted from the withdrawn amount, and the remaining balance will be disbursed to you via PingPongX. The disbursement will take one (01) business day from the time the funds are successfully credited to Ecompay’s PingPongX account.

Other fees include:

  • Account setup fee: $200, which serves as a revenue commitment. This fee is fully refundable if you meet the revenue target within 30 days.
  • Shopify subscription fees: You are responsible for paying the monthly Shopify subscription fees.

Product Policy

You must ensure that you DO NOT sell products in the following categories:

  • Dietary supplements, cosmetics, weapons, or any goods prohibited by law.
  • Products that violate Trademark Law in the target market, including unauthorized use of logos, trademarks, counterfeit products, or any items that could cause brand confusion.
  • Products that may violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or other intellectual property protection regulations.
  • Products that breach any contractual terms or commitments between both parties.

If you engage in buyer fraud, such as failing to deliver orders or scamming customers, Ecompay reserves the right to terminate the service, cancel the contract, and withhold revenue payments. If a product is reported for copyright infringement by a third party or requested for removal by the hosting/domain provider, Ecompay has the right to remove the product from the online store without prior notice.

Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes, both parties will attempt to resolve them through mediation. If unsuccessful, disputes will be handled by a competent court.

Service Termination

The service may be terminated under the following circumstances:

  1. Failure to meet revenue targets: If you do not meet the committed revenue target during the contract period, Ecompay has the right to terminate the contract without prior notice.
  2. Contract expiration: If the contract expires and is not renewed or replaced with a new contract, it will automatically terminate without further notice.
  3. Violation of contractual terms: If either party breaches the agreed-upon terms, including but not limited to product policy violations, failure to pay fees on time, failure to fulfill obligations, or infringement of the other party’s rights. In the event of contract termination, all outstanding fees and financial obligations must still be fully settled.
